It is said that Harmony, Balance and Constrast are synonymous of beauty, and this is what displays The Laietana Jazz Project, skilfully lead by Miguel Blanco.
Harmony comes from the Jazzistic links evoking high level references like in "Eccentric Havanera" into a totally Ellingtonian mood, or "Grana" like a tribute to the contemporary orchestrations remembring the figures of Gil Evans and Miles Davies. Balance from rigorous and flexible compositions and arrangements help the soloists speeches not to over blow at any moment to the group, and vice versa;.
And finally the contrast is given by style variety, sound mixtures, culture combinations… all strongly displayed on musical arguments coexisting in this great metropolis called music.
