There is a Mediterranean climate, a Mediterranean diet ... an entire culture that share all the Mediterranean countries which is based on light, joy, life on the streets, colors, smells ...
Musicians and painters from the north have come to exalt our light, our dances and our way of living. Mozart's Don Giovanni made the most of his seductions here, Mendelssohn wrote his Italian Symphony full of joyful rhythms, van Gogh and Gaugin became entranced in Provence ... and each year millions of visitors fill our beaches.
So it was explained in the ceremonies of the 1992 Summer Olympics in which ancient traditions across the Mediterranean melted with aesthetic innovations and advanced technology.
In our party there can be different corners recalling different Mediterranean places with special emphasis on the most characteristic flowers and trees (olive, geraniums ...), decorated with with fishing nets, anchors ... everything underlined with projections of special Mediterranean spots (Acropolis of Athens, Pompeii, Costa Brava, Imperial Rome, April Fair in Seville, Islands of the Aegean ...
Musically we'll promenade into Spain (Flamenco music and other regions, such as Jotas, Habaneras ...), Italy (tarantella, serenades ...), Greece (Sirtaki. ..) without ignoring the Balkans and North Africa with our specialized music groups on these folklores.
The decorationn will be based on Joan Miró's most imaginative combination of colors (blue, yellow and red) in sinuous and suggestive choreography filled with mobile elements of Mediterranean inspiration. There will be the personification of the sun, the omnipresence of the sea, the winds, the marine animals ... in scenes where the imagination is essential. In few words this party s an immersion on smells, lights, colors and harmony.
